Tick tock, tick tock...

Hi ladies! I just saw this wonderful tag over at Polishology and seeing as it's such an awesome idea, I decided to take part in it too :)

We all start off somewhere, some of us much better at nail painting and photographing than others, but at the end of the day, practice makes perfect. I thought rather than show only my first and last manis on the blog, I'd show a progression. This way, you can see how my skills have improved (at least, I hope so :P) over time.

Tag~a little bit about me :)

I was tagged by Freshie from Polish Freshie awhile ago and have finally gotten around to posting this, haha. I'm bad with my tags, I know :(.

Questions:
1. When and how did you start your love for polish?

My nail polish obsession started around the beginning of last year while I was on a quest to find a black polish! I was really into black polish back then because I thought it was so chic and really wanted to be an owner of one :P. Well, I found it in SaSa while I was on my holiday in Hong Kong! (It's the Arezia polish in this mani) I then stumbled across nail blogs and as the saying goes, the rest is history :D.

2. If you could choose to do anything in the world, what would it be? (Eg. Ski in the Swiss alps, fly in a fighter jet, create a unicorn etc.)

Visit Korea and meet my Korean idol singers! My current addiction is SHINee hehe, it's been them since their appearance in the Australia-Korea Friendship Concert in mid-January. Oh, and I'd love to meet Beast and SuJu too <3.

3. What's your favorite love story?

I love, love, LOVE A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks :). It's really touching and sweet - and this reminds me, I need to go read it again haha!

As for my fellow Korean entertainment lovers, I'm soooo in love with Secret Garden :D. I'm sad it's over, but Gil Ra Im and Park Joo Won will continue to live on in my heart ♥.

Apologies and an award

Firstly, I'm really sorry for the lack of posts these days - I've been extremely busy this week what with a concert and summer course to study for.

I have been tagged by Jen over at Nail Polish Addiction Anonymous, Melanie at The Color Palette, Alhrayth and LadyLuck. Thanks so much for the award ladies!

1. I think first and foremost, I need to spazz a little about the concert I attended on Wednesday :P. You can skip this if you're not into Kpop haha. Arirang organised a Korea-Australia Friendship Concert of which SHINee was one of the performers for, so I spent the whole of Wednesday out at the city waiting in lines for tickets and seats XD. Was the waiting and leg/feet pains worth it? Definitely yes! SHINee, Son Ho Young and Shin Seung Hun were the Korean performers and omg, they were brilliant! If you're interested, I've got some fancams and a fanaccount written up; just let me know and I'll email you the links :).

2. Prior to nail polish, I was a HUGE fan of Kpop. While I'm not such a hardcore fan any more and don't stalk forums as much, I still love Kpop loads ♥

3. I really want to travel the world and see new things. The Earth is so big and I'm only living in a small part of it! I want to experience the different cultures - in particular, try their food xD.

4. I ADORE kids and really enjoy hanging out with them and just seeing them laugh and have fun. I love spending time with them and watching them grow and mature over time :).

5. I absolutely can not stand noise or light when I sleep at night. Ticking clocks frustrate me the most :P.

6. Procrastination is a big problem for me. Whenever I plan time for assignments, I add in time to procrastinate too XD. If I just cut it out, it'll probably take me half the time to finish the assignment ;~;

7. I prefer winter over summer here in Australia. My theory is, you can always layer on more clothes, but you can only strip to the bare minimum haha.

- Nail polish! Classic, cliché answer, but it's the truth :)
- Kids :D. I'm currently studing for a BEd so of course I adore them ♥

- Kpop. Korean pop has been a part of my life for 2 years now and I'm still loving it lots!
- Fobby clothes, hehe. I love going to YesStyle and looking at all the amazing clothes they have. I just wish I had more money!
- The nail thread on soompi haha. My love for nail polish has deepened when I stumbled across it.
- Hong Kong ♥♥♥. I don't go back often, but I love, love, love it so much. I came to Australia when I was really little and I miss my home country really bad sometimes.
- Family ♥ Where would I be without them to nag and torture? :P
- Holidays~!
- HK dramas :). I grew up with both parents watching TVB dramas and I will never get sick of them (although the quality of some of their recent work has been very...*ahem* :()
- Procrastinating, haha. It's not exactly good since I have so much uni work, but studying life wouldn't be studying life without a little procrastination :P

I just finished ordering some polishes on transdesign! It's rather exciting for me since it's my first time (fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly), but most of all, I bought myself my first first OPI polishes! :D I'll definitely be posting pictures if when I get my package, but for now, I'm still floating in the post-high of ordering lol.
