Hi everyone :) I think I've discovered the best flakey combination ever, honest! ♥ I keep staring and staring and staring at my nails - people must think I'm weird for admiring my hands (HA! so they think) so much :P
I applied two coats of Chi Chi Hung up on to my nails before layering two coats of Nubar 2010 over it. SO. MUCH. LOVE. ♥♥♥ I really couldn't decide on which photos to show after taking millions of them, but at least I've narrowed it down to only five :P
The polish came out a little bluer than it really is, mainly because my camera spazzed and couldn't take the awesome that is this combo :) In real life, it's a redder purple shade and actually reminds me a bit of Nfu Oh #51, only not as jelly. Ok fine, they're not thaaat similar but I think this might satiate my lemming for #51!
It is indeed a royal layering, no? ^^ Hmm, I wonder what this looks like matte?
Thanks for looking!

There's glitter and there's crackle
Wednesday, September 28, 2011
Hello hello! As promised, I'm back with a mani for today :) I was actually all ready to polish my nails but had a little problem - I didn't know what colour to choose! D: Do you ladies feel this sometimes? To think I own just over 200 bottles of nail polish but didn't know which one to use...dilemma!
Anyway, I finally decided on using OPI Last friday night since I love love love the pretty blue-yellow-orange-green glitter suspended in a sheer blue base. I thought I'd layer it over black and then inspiration hit me - why not reverse the colours for an accent nail? So crackle polish was brought out to layer over a blue base shade :)
Oh and I totally chopped my nails while I was sick haha. I couldn't stand the length they were growing to and couldn't be bothered to file them so for the first time in over a year, I brought out my nail clippers :P Hence the nubs and rounded nail shape. I can't wait until they grow back out though, I much more prefer the squoval shape to this.
I applied two coats of Ulta3 black satin and then layered two coats of Last Friday night over it. Don't you just adore the beauty that is LFN? It's just so gorgeous, definitely my favourite polish from the Katy Perry collection! For my accent nail, I applied two coats of OPI Yodel me on my cell and then layered a coat of OPI Black shatter over it.
What do you think of this mani? :)
Thanks for reading!

Birthday mani
Thursday, September 15, 2011
Hi ladies~ Apologies for not being around as often these days, I've been busy with uni and on top of that, I've fallen sick :( There seems to be some sort of bug going around - everyone I know is sick or recovering. Anyway, here's a quick update on my birthday mani (it was yesterday. and I was sick :S) before I go and rest a little more.
I applied two coats of OPI Siberian nights onto my index and fifth fingers, then layered with China Glaze 5 golden rings. For my thumb and fourth fingers, I applied three coats of Orly Fowl play. I love the flakies in this polish, I really do <33. On my middle finger, I applied one coat of Ulta3 gold rush fever then used a tape to tape off two thin lines. I then applied a thick coat of OPI Lincoln park after dark suede.
Ahh, not much else to say. I think I'm ready to go to bed again~ Check out my Blog Birthday giveaway if you haven't already!

Storm clouds rolling in
Sunday, September 11, 2011
Hi everyone~ Spring in Australia means fluctuating temperatures and weather. One day it's warm and sunny, the next it's cloudy and freezing :(. This mani was totally fit for the cloudy weather we had a few days ago. Too cold!
I applied two coats of Rimmel grey matter onto my nails. I then took my OPI Servin' up sparkle to give the mani some glitter tips. I love how the glitter adds that little extra bling to the mani to make it look more interesting <3.
What do you think of this mani? I've gotta run now, class will be on soon! Don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway!

The holo purple
Friday, September 9, 2011
Hi ladies :) I'll be heading out to a friend's birthday party tonight and chose out a purple dress to wear. And of course, I had to have matching tips so I pulled out the gorgeous Color Club Wild at heart purple holo to wear. I'm sure it'll still show off it's beautiful holo goodness even under artificial light ♥
I applied two coats of Wild at heart and sealed it with a top coat. All photos are taken under direct sunlight. Just look at the lovely! <33
Ahhh, rainbow dancing on my nails. Loveeeeee! ♥ Do you own Wild at heart? And what's your favourite holo polish? :) Don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway too, it's ending in 8 days!

Why I love purple
Monday, September 5, 2011
Hi everyone~ I'm still sporting my spring pastel mani so this one's from the vault :) I'm sure you all know of my love affair for purple by now, I harp on about it so much :P Zoya Mimi was no exception to my love and you can see why! ♥ I applied two coats of Mimi onto my nails and sealed it with a top coat. And oops, the flashes of red you see are a reflection of my top!
This is a gorgeous shade of purple, I love it loads <33. The only thing is that the polish does stain, so definitely double up on your base coat. Do you love purple as much as I do? ^^ And have a look at my Blog Birthday giveaway as well!

Black and blingggggg!
Wednesday, August 31, 2011
Hi lovely readers <3 Today's mani is influenced by my love for dark nail polishes :) For some reason, whenever I'm stuck for ideas on what to wear, black is my go to shade (besides purple, of course). I applied two coats of Orly Matte vinyl onto my index and fifth fingers and two coats of Glitter Gal black onto my middle and thumb. For some extra bling, I layered two coats of Color Club Magic attraction over one coat of Ulta3 black satin.
I love how Magic attraction is so awesome and blingy <3. And of course, black totally jumps to life and shows off it's rainbow holo under the sun. I don't think the holo was photographed too well here, if you want to see it in it's fullest glory, check out my swatch here~ :)
Any lovers of black manis? ^^ Have a look at my Blog Birthday giveaway as well!

Gold glitter tips
Tuesday, August 30, 2011
Hi ladies~ My baby step back into nail art after 2 weeks of nothingness involves something pretty simple - glitter tips! I applied two coats of OPI Honk if you love OPI which is a mini and I absolutely despise it cos I can't control the brush as well! :( Anyway. I wasn't all too fond of this darkened red-purple shade so I decided to add a little more to it, and glitter it was. Two coats of China Glaze 5 golden rings was applied to the tips.I was actually a little lazy with this and dabbed the glitter on with the brush instead of sponging...hehe :P
The following two photos are more colour accurate of the base polish. I found my camera didn't like the gold glitter and reacted by making the above photo whiter looking.
Another simple mani but I assure you that once I get into the swing of things again they will be a little more interesting than layering. As much as I love it, I feel like a bit more than it! Meanwhile, don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway.

Why so blue?
Sunday, August 28, 2011
Hi everyone! After two weeks of naked nails, I'm back with a mani :) My applying skills have deteriorated, lol - application was a little messier than normal. I decided to go with a blue mani since I was in the mood for a navy blue. Of course, China Glaze First mate fits this criteria only too well. I love this one coater crème <3.
I applied two coats of First mate (only out of habit - you can totally get away with one coat if you're careful!) and then layered OPI Last Friday night onto my middle finger. Two coats of Maybelline NY Colorama Electric blue were applied onto my accent nails, with one coat of L.A. Colors Starlight layered onto my thumb.
This is simple, but I love how simple and pretty it is :)
What do you think of layering with glitters? I can't seem to stop using them, hehe. They make plainer nail polish finishes like crèmes and jellies so much more interesting. Also, don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway!

My Alias
Monday, August 15, 2011
Hello lovelies~ Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I've been extremely swamped with uni assignments and what I'm blaming for my loss in motivation to paint my nails. I've been sporting naked nails for a week now, can you believe that? The horror! Not to worry though, I have a beauty which I didn't share earlier. Don't know why though!
I recently combined with my friend and ordered some nail polishes from Transdesign and an ebay seller. One of the polishes which I chose to splurge on was Color Club Alias. It's purple, it's duochrome and absolutely gorgeous ♥ I took a bajillion photos of this to show off and couldn't decide which ones to share so there will be quite a few photos. I applied three coats of the polish as it was a little sheer, but it's definitely, definitely worth it! :D
I love this photo. It shows of the duochrome so beautifully *swoon* <3
You just can't not buy this, can you? ♥___♥ What do you think of this beauty? Also, don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway!

Seeing red
Wednesday, August 10, 2011
Hi ladies~^^ For me, I find red too bright of a shade to wear on my nails and that it draws too much attention. I felt like being brave the other day though and decided to once again step outside my comfort zone. For this manicure, I applied two coats of Orly Ruby to my nails. Ruby is an opaque creme polish and not too bright too ^^ On my accent nails I applied three coats of OPI The one that got away. I've been looking for an excuse to wear this again - the duochrome is a beauty ♥ On to my middle finger, I applied one thick coat of Nubar 2010 for some flakey goodness :)
What do you think of red nail polishes? It's such a classic shade, but for some reason I can bring myself to wear it too often :P Don't forget to check out my Blog Birthday giveaway too!

Spicing up the black
Monday, August 8, 2011
Hey lovelies :) I was in the mood for a dark mani a few days ago and so reached for my black nail polishes. Not wanting a pure black mani, I used some layering polishes to spice it up a bit and here is the result!
I applied one coat of Ulta3 black satin onto my nails and then layered with China Glaze White cap and OPI Servin' up sparkle. Onto my accent nails, I applied two coats of Orly Matte vinyl and decorated my fourth finger with some stars, pearls and rhinestones from the nail art etailer Born Pretty Store. I felt the star was fitting as the mani gave me a spacey feel. How's that for a shooting star attempt? :P
A couple of photos in the sun to show the bling and glory of Servin' up sparkle :) I love these holo glitters ♥
It's not much, but I like it for it's simplicity and prettiness. Don't forget to enter my Blog Bithday Giveaway here :)

Choose meeee!
Friday, August 5, 2011
Hey~ :) Firstly, thanks to the awesome people who left me suggestions after my previous post. I've since contacted the Google team and they have removed all of my posts from the other blog, yay! And moving onto nail polish :P Ahh, I can't believe I've put off wearing Essence Choose me! for so long. Despite seeing so many glorious photos of it, it stayed in my untried box for over 3 months! Shown is three coats of the lovely. Just look at the beautiful duochrome ♥
Just beware that this baby stains - I applied two coats of my base coat (China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat) to avoid teal stained nails :)
Have you ever put off wearing a polish even though you've read so many positive reviews about it?

Australian Series: Verdigris
Saturday, July 30, 2011
Hi~^^ Hope you all had a great start to the weekend. I'm trying to savour mine as best as possible before I return to uni on Monday.
Awhile ago, I received a lovely nail package from Face of Australia. One of the polishes included was Verdigris. This is a light olive green which has a metallic finish. Careful application is required in order not to end up with a brushstrokey mess. I applied two coats here~
It's not my favourite shade of green, but I actually grew to like it :) Of course, if it were less brushstrokey, I'd be loving it. What are your thoughts of metallic finishes? Love or hate?

Some more purple for you :)
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Hey everyone~ You know I love purple, I know I love purple and so of course, here's another purple mani :P I loved my blue mani so much I decided to recreate it, purple style. First photo is taken under direct sunlight, the rest indoors with natural lighting.
I thought I'd spice up the mani with a few 3D accessories. Besides the silver rhinestone, all were from the cheapest nail art etailer Born Pretty Store. They have such amazing nail art supplies, from thin nail brushes to stamping plates - and all with free shipping too! Check out the discount coupon on my sidebar for a further 10% off their already cheap prices - just type in PIJ31 into the respective spot when you check out.
Look at how the heart decals shine and flash from purple to blue to green to gold...it's beautiful ♥ These heart decals can be purchased from Born Pretty Store as part of a set of 12 with various other designs provided. Check out the rest of the nail art glitter decoration here :)
The polishes I used in the mani are:
China Glaze Light as air
Ulta3 lily white, twilight fever
Twilight fever definitely looks like another Chanel Paradoxal dupe. What was once a rare thing to come across in Australia has become too easy, I think Australis also have a dupe and I also own a Sportsgirl dupe. I might post a comparison of it with twilight fever later.
I actually love this mani so much I'm still sporting it after 3 days and going strong... :P Definitely a record for me! What do you think of it? :)
