Hey Y'all! This design is an entry to Mr.NailDude's Moulin Rouge nail art contest. It is inspired by the costume Nicole Kidman wore in her 1st performance. I tried to make it as close to the original costume as possible.
To create the look I used black acrylic mixed with black glitter, silver holographic glitter mix acrylic, silver holographic starts, black tulle and silver mini beads. Hope you enjoy the design!
Hey Y'all! I created this fall design for TheNailDutchess' nail art contest she is having on her youtube channel. It is inspired by fall leaves. This is my favorite time of year! I love the colors of the leaves as they change when the weather does.
To create this design I made a glitter mix with copper & gold fine glitter and copper, gold & orange tinsel shred glitter. Over that I applied orange & brown foil glitter to create the backround. Then I decorated the design with leaves I made from yellow, orange & red acrylic.
Hey Y'all! The following design was created for another nail contest entry. This contest is totally fabulous and I really would love to win because the prizes are spectacular! Designernailvideos is holding the contest and she is giving away a lot of the products she carries in her online store called Designer Nail Supply. Be sure to check it out because she has everything you need to create great nail art!
The discs were the only decorations I used on this design. As I said in my previous post, I do want to try design that are just inlaid without decorations on top. Don't worry though...there'll be more 3D designs! I got some more small nail art brushes that I wanna try because the ones from A.C. Moore are just a little too long =( But, I digress. I used a purple and a pink glitter mix for the background. I left some areas of the nail bare and placeed the discs in those areas. The I accented the bare areas with nail art stiper paint with lines and dots. Enjoy!
This design was inspired by nail art created by Amy Blair. She has a Nail Art blog where she showcases design she creates for her clients. I absolutely adore her style! Her nail art is so funky and unique. She does mostly inlaid nail art, which is quickly becoming my all time favorite. I also love the designs she does with holographic discs that are so fabulous. I found some at EZ Nails and they arrived just in time for me to try them in this entry.
Hey Y'all! Long time no post rite??? Well overtime has begun at my job so unfortunately I just won't be having a lot of free time to post as regularly as I like. =( I have a lot of ideas that I want to release though, so I think I'll make time to do some nails in the next couple of weeks!!!
Anyway...I created this design for Dollface22772's 3D Extravaganza Nail art Contest. I'm so sad that I didn't have enough time to make the other 3 entries! I had 2 awesome ideas for the extreme entries. I actually started one but ugh!...it just isn't coming out the way I want it to. LOL!!!! To create this design I made a yellow and a pink glitter mix and used lemon fimo slices to decorate. It is a very simple design but very very pretty! I hope you all love it!
I used a fading technique for this deign and also used minimal decorations on the nail. I think that I want to try some designs that are only embedded without 3D decorations on top. Technically, that is still 3D even though it is inlaid in the acrylic. I love the way the decorations are suspended inside the acrylic! It's just beautiful!
By the way, I know I said that I was going to stop buying glitter & nail decorations ....but ...um ...XD Yeah! This perhaps is the reason I'm so determined to get that overtime. Dam just for glitter??? YES IT'S REALLY THAT SERIOUS!!! LOL!!! So I'll be showing you all some of my recent purchases soon. Some of the stuff I have opened already but those items are basically packaged the same as other things I bought so I'll definitely reference for y'all.
Hey Y'all! I just wanted to share this playlist of the entries to my Prom Nail Art Contest. So many great entries! I knew my awesome subbies would blow my mind and the ladies aren't letting me down. Still a couple more weeks to go and once again, I'm totally enthralled! Those of you who haven't entered have plenty of time so keep em coming. I'll be adding the new entries as soon as I receive them so check back often for updates!
Ladies, you also still have a couple of weeks to enter my 1st Monthly Blog Giveaway. So don't forget about that. There are some of y'all that have a lot of entries, but didn't do all of the mandatory entries so I'm afraid you won't have a chance to win. =( I realize now that I made a lot of rules and some people were a bit confused. Please forgive me! I will not make it so confusing for the next giveaway. I have made a spreadsheet on google documents that I will share in a seperate post this weekend once I've updated. That way you all will see your status and I'll make a video explaining how to read it. Hopefully that will help if y'all are still paying attention. =P
Enjoy the entries and I hope at least a coupe of you young ladies that have a prom to attend will get some inspiration for a look to wear! That was the main purpose for it.
